Founded by Pamela Baldwin, owner of FINtastic Swim School Inc., The Helpers Camp blends premium childcare expertise with real-world life skills to help children grow confident, kind, and capable. 

This unique program teaches kids how to help, when to seek help, and how to respond with confidence in everyday or unexpected situations — all through playful learning, guided activities, and hands-on creativity.

What Is The Helpers Camp?

The Helpers Camp is an interactive enrichment camp that comes to you, where children learn about safety, responsibility, and community through real-life role models. Throughout the camp, kids meet and learn from everyday helpers such as firefighters, lifeguards, teachers, and other community professionals through hands-on activities, stories, and play.

Each session helps children understand how helpers keep us safe, what to do in different situations, and how they can be confident helpers in their own lives. All lessons are taught in a fun, age-appropriate way that encourages curiosity, teamwork, and confidence.

A Week of Learning & Fun

Each camp day is filled with arts, crafts, physical activities, and engaging lessons designed to prepare children for real-life helping situations. With a new theme every day, campers stay excited, curious and eager to learn. Your child will learn about the important roles helpers play, and discover when and how to ask the right people for help in their communities. Along the way, they build decision-making skills that keep them safe while empowering them to become confident leaders in their own families and communities.

MEET THE FOUNDERS:

  • With over 20 years of experience running FINtastic Swim School, Pamela Baldwin, has dedicated her career to empowering children with life-saving skills and confidence. Her swim program was thoughtfully designed to help children stay safe in the water and, if ever faced with danger, know how to help save their own lives.

    Two decades later, that same passion for child safety, empowerment, and education has grown beyond the pool. Inspired by the devastating California fires of 2025 and the power of community, Pamela has created The Helpers Camp to further empower children with the knowledge, confidence, and decision-making skills they need in everyday life.

    Through hands-on learning, real-life role models, and age-appropriate activities, The Helpers Camp teaches children how communities work, when and how to ask for help, and how their own actions can make a meaningful difference. At the heart of everything Pamela does is a belief that children are capable, resilient, and powerful—and that when given the right tools, they can become active, confident members of their own families and communities.

A Private In-Home Camp

Enjoy the convenience of an at-home camp experience! Host the camp at your home and invite up to 15 children to join your child.

We handle all registrations, so you don’t have to worry about the logistics. Classes accommodate 5 to 15 children (ages 3-8, potty-trained required).

  • Half-Day, Morning: 9 AM - 12 PM 

  • Half-Day, Afternoon: 1 PM - 4 PM 

  • Full-Day: 9 AM - 3 PM

Classes accommodate 5 to 15 children (ages 3-8, potty-trained required).

Full Day Pricing:
